RECOGNITION SUB-COMMITTEE 1983-04-19 H/83
The Recognition Sub-Committee met at the Authority Office (Mr. Higgs' office) ,
5 Shoreham Drive, Downsview, Ontario, on Tuesday, April 19, 1983, commencing at
8:00 a.m.

NOMINATIONS - 1983 HONOUR ROLL AWARDS
Res n Moved by Mrs. F Gall
Seconded by: W. G. Barber
IT WAS AGREED AND THE COMMITTEE RECOMMENDS THAT
(1) the 1983 Honour Roll Awards tree planting ceremony be held on
Friday, May 13, 1983, at 1 30 pm., at the Authority's Administrative
Headquarters, and that the following persons receive Honour Roll
Awards, consisting of the planting of a tree suitably marked with
a plaque:
Elgin H. Card
G. Hadden Gillespie
Fred Kline (deceased)
Reg Twiselton
Earl Whitewood
(2) the Runnymede Collegiate Institute Stage Band be invited to
participate and to perform before the ceremony;
(3) a lunch be provided for Honour Roll Award recipients, Authority
members and their quests, prior to the ceremony, with light
refreshments (coffee, tea, cold drinks and cookies) being served
immediately following the tree planting ceremony

1983 SERVICE RECOGNITION AWARDS

IT WAS AGREED AND THE COMMITTEE RECOMMENDS THAT:
(1) the Annual Garden Party be held on Wednesday, June 29, 1983,
at 12:30 p m. at Black Creek Pioneer Village. Gold Service Recognition
Awards wilr be presented to P. B Flood, J. Honingh, M. MacDowell,
R McMullin and L. Maltby. Lifetime Passes will be presented to
E. T. Jackson and M.O.P. Morrison (Foundation Members).
(2) the staff be directed to update the Recognition Policy with respect
to the recognition of full tima staff of the Authority on retirement,
and as to the suitability of the value of the gift in light of inflation.
ADJOURNMENT CARRIED;
On Motion, the meeting adjourned at 9 00 a.m., April 19.

The Recognition Sub-Committee met at the Authority Office in the Don Room,
5 Shoreham Drive, North York, Ontario, on Friday February 3, 1984 commencing
at 8 30 a m.
PRESENT WERE ABSENT

IT WAS AGREED AND THE COMMITTEE RECOMMENDS THAT
1 the Honour Roll Awards tree planting ceremony be held on
Friday, May 11, 1984 at 1 30 p.m. at Authority's Administrative
Headquarters; and
a. the event be held on the lawn south west of office and that
a band and suitable luncheon be arranged; and
b nominations be invited from members, senior staff and the
Chairman of the Metropolitan Toronto and Region Conservation
Foundation; and
c the staff be directed to prepare a detailed program and
invitation list for consideration of the Committee at its
next meeting.
2. the Annual Garden Party to present Gold Service Recognition
Awards, Silver Recognition Awards and Lifetime Passes to
members, be held on Wednesday June 27, 1984 at Black Creek
Pioneer Village; and
a. the event be held on the lawn adjacent to the Snider
Workshop; and
b the staff be directed to prepare a detailed program and
invitation list for consideration of the Committee at its
next meeting
