HomeMy WebLinkAboutConservation Farm Sub-Committee 1982 ~ , CFSC-l the metropolitan toronto and region conservation authority minutes CONSERVATION FARM SUB-COMMITTEE 1983-01-14 U/82 The Conservation Farm Sub-Committee met at the Albion Hills Conservation Field Centre on Friday, January 14, 1983, commencing at 1 30 p m PRESENT Chairman E V Kolb Members R E Bell Dr T H Leith G Lowe F Redelmeier Vice-Chairman of the Authority Mrs F Gell Acting General Manager W A McLean Adm - Information & Education Division T E Barber Supervisor - Albion Hills C F Centre J Wansbrough Assistant Supervisor - Albion Hills C F C D Harrison Farm Operator - Albion Hills Farm R Tetreault ABSENT Members S W Caldwell A A Wall MINUTES The Minutes of Meeting #1/81, held February 5, 1982, were presented Res U Moved by G Lowe Seconded by F Redelmeier RESOLVED THAT The Minutes of Meeting #1/81, held February 5, 1982, as presen~ed, be adopted as if read CARRIED; ALBION HILLS CONSERVATION FARM Real Tetreault, Farm Operator, discussed the operation of the Albion Hills Conser- vation Farm and indicated his interest in renewing the Agreement for a further five (5) year term , Jean Wansbrough, Supervisor of the Albion Hills conse~tion Field Centre, and Dave Harrison, Assistant Supervisor, reviewed the use f the farm by students for education purposes T E Barber updated the Committee on the Ontario Milk Marketing Board Quota, the Etobicoke Board of Education Lease, the Lake St George Farm, the proposed Canada/Ontario Employment Development program at the Albion Hills Conservation Farm, and circulated a proposal from Pucks Farm for the Boyd Conservation Area Res #2 Moved by F Redelmeier Seconded by G Lowe RESOLVED THAT the report on the Albion Hills Conservation Farm be received, and subject to the firm undertaking by the operator to meet certain commitments as discussed and set forth i~ the Agreement, that a short term extension to the Agreement be offered to Real Tetreaultj AND FURTHER THAT the staff be directed to review the uses of ~he Albion Hills Conservation Farm by students and other groups, and to develop guidelines for the supervision and use of the farm ADJOURNMENT On Motion, the meeting adjourned at 4 30 pm, January 14, 1983 E V Kolb T E Barber Chairman Act~ng Secretary-Treasurer
