Redelmeier MINUTES The Minutes of Meeting #1/80, held October 15, 1980, were presented Res. n Moved by S W Caldwell Seconded by G Lowe RESOLVED THAT The Minutes of Meeting #1/80, held October 15, 1980, as presented, be adopted as if read CARRIED; REPORT ON FARM OPERATIONS T Barber and R Hudson gave a verbal report on the operation of the Lake St George Conservation Field Centre, including the development of facilities, operation of program and financial arrangements DEVELOPMENT - LAKE ST GEORGE CONSERVATION FARM The staff discussed the improvements that are required in order to make the Lake St George Conservation Farm a viable operation that the Authority can use for educational purposes Res #2 Moved by S W Caldwell Seconded by A A Wall RESOLVED THAT (1) the Lake St. George Conservation Farm be used for educational purposes at such time as its development makes it presentable and safe for students; and that (2) staff be directed to prepare a plan for the improvements required at the Lake St George Conservation Farm, for review by the Conservation Farm Sub-Committee; and further that (3) the development of the Lake St George Conservation Farm be carried out as funds become available CARRIED; 2 CF-2 Conservation Farm Sub-Committee, Meeting U/Sl Friday, February 5, 1982 Page 2 AGREEMENT - LAKE ST GEORGE CONSERVATION FARM The staff reviewed and summarized financial arrangements with respect to the agreements for the Albion Hills and the Glassco Conservation Farms Res. i3 Moved by A A. Wall Seconded by: S W. Caldwell THE SUB-COMMITTEE RECOMMENDS THAT (1) staff be directed to arrange for the preparation of a suitable Licence Agreement between Mrs. Katherine Beintema and the Authority, for the operation of the Lake St. George Conservation Farm, on a basis similar to that presently in existence at the Albion Hills and Glassco Farms: and that (2) the appropriate Authority officials be authorized and directed to sign the necessary documents to give effect thereto: and that (3) staff be further directed to develop a combined agreement, prior to the end of October, 1982, for the renewal and continuing operation of the Albion Hills, Glassco and Lake St George Conservation Farms, to take effect following the termination of the existing agreements. CARRIED: ADJOURNMENT On motion, the meeting adjourned at 3 30 P m Following adjournment of the meeting, the Chairman and Members of the Sub-Committee made an inspection of the barn, accompanied by Mrs K Beintema, the Farm Manager, and Alex Vernest, Building Manager at the Lake St George Conservation Field Centre E V Kolb, Chairman T E Barber, Secretary
