The Reforestation and Land Use Advisory Board met at the Albion Hills
Chalet-Pavilion at the Albion Hills Conservation Area on Tuesday, May
21, 1974, commencing at 2:00 p.m.

STAFF PROGRESS REPORT
The Staff Progress Report for the period January 1 to May 21, '1974,
was presented by the Staff.

RESOLVED THAT: The Staff Progress Report for the period January 1 to
May 21, 1974, be received and filed.

PRELIMINARY DEVELOPMENT
BUDGET ESTIMATES - 1975
The 1975 Preliminary Development Budget Estimates were presented and
discussed.

RESOLVED THAT: The 1975 Preliminary Development Budget Estimates,
as amended, be approved in principle; and further
THE BOARD RECOMMENDS THAT: The 1975 Preliminary Development Budget
Estimates, as amended and appended as Schedule "A" of these Minutes,
be included in the 1975 Preliminary Budget Estimates of.the Authority.

REPORT RE FORESTRY AGREEMENT
The Annual Report on Forestry Agreement was presented by Mr. J.
Kekanovich, Ministry of Natural Resources.

RESOLVED THAT: The Annual Report on Forestry Agreement, dated
April 4, 1974 and presented by Mr. J. Kekanovich, R.P.F., Management
Forester, Ontario Ministry of ~atural Resources, be received, approved
and filed.
CARRIED UNANIMOUSLY;
FISH MANAGEMENT PROJECT
The staff presented a Progress Report on the Fish Management Project,
which was discussed in some detail.

RESOLVED THAT: The Staff Report on Fish Management Project be
received and filed.
CARRIED UNANIMOUSLY;
REPORT RE WATER QUALITY
MONITORING PROGRAMME
A Report on Water Quality Monitoring Programme was presented by the
Staff.

Seconded by: E. Lemon
RESOLVED THAT: The Staff Report on Water Quality Monitoring Programme
be received; and
THE BOARD RECOMMENDS TEAT: The recommendations contained in the Staff
Report on Water Quality Monitoring Programme, as set forth herein, be
adopted:
THAT the Water Quality Monitoring Programme at the Claireville Con-
servation Area be continued for a further two year period; and
THAT the programme be expanded to include analysis of the benthic
fauna; and further
THAT the firm of James F. MacLaren Limited continue to carry out the
analysis of the data collected.
CARRIED UNANIMOUSLY;
ADJOURNMENT
The Meeting adjourned at 3:30 p.m., to tour various projects in the
Niagara Escarpment Area.

assistance progranune offered to the rural landowners in the Metropolitan
Toronto region was presented.

RESOLVED THAT: The Staff conununicdtion ha. ng regard to Streambank
Erosion Protection progranune be received; and
THAT all projects for streambank erosion control assistance undertaken
by the Staff of the Land Management Division be forwarded to the
Ministry of Natural Resources for advice on fish habitat.

inclusive, for Conservation Services and Sundry Capital, be approved
and forwarded to the Authority for inclusion in the Authority Multi-
Year Forecast, 1975 to 1979 inclusive.
