Advisory Board met at the Durham Regional Offices, 605 Ross1and Road East, Whitby, on Thursday, May 30, 1974, commencing at 9:00 a.m. The Meeting took the form of a Tour of the Durham Region and included Councillors and Officials of The Regional Municipality of Durham and Members of the Executive Committee as guests. Durham Regional Office, Whitby STOP #1 Mouth of Duffin's Creek; Squires Beach Waterfront Project; and site of proposed Duffin's Creek Sewage Treatment Plant STOP #2 Frenchman's Bay Waterfront Project East - park developed by Ontario Hydro West - Frenchman's Bay Yacht Club STOP #3 Petticoat Creek Waterfront Area East - park development under agreement with Town of Pickering West - Rosebank Area 1-2 -2- STOP #4 Greenwood Conservation Area and explanation of proposed Arthur Percy Dam and Reservoir STOP #5 Glen Major Forest and Wildlife Conservation Area STOP #6 Claremont Conservation Area - tour of area and lunch at the Claremont Conservation Field Centre TOUR CONCLlJDED Durham Regional Office, Whitby A short meeting was held at the Regional Office at the conclusion of the Tour. MINUTES The Minutes of Meeting #2/73 were presented. Res. #1 Moved by: B.G. Harrison Seconded by: J.E. Anderson RESOLVED THAT: The Minutes of Meeting #2/73, as presented, be adopted. CARRIED UNANIMOUSLY; STAFF PROGRESS REPORT Mr. Higgs presented a Staff Progress Report, which was received, an~ a general discussion followed. . CARRIED UNANIMOUSLY; STAFF PROGRESS REPORT A Progress Report of Projects in the R.D.H.P. area was presented verbally by the Staff. Res. #3 Moved by: R.L. Nesbitt Seconded by: B.G. Harrison RESOLVED TEAT: The Staff Progress Report, as presented, be received with appreciation. CARRIED UNANIMOUSLY; ADJOURNMENT On Motion, the Meeting adjourned to tour projects in the Scarborough/ Pickering/Ajax Waterfront areas.
