The Etobicoke-Mimico Advisory Board met at the Authority Office,
5 Shoreham Drive, Downsview, on Thursday, May 17, 1973, commencing
at 2:00 p.m.

MINUTES
The Minutes of Meeting #1/72 were presented.

RESOLVED THAT: The Minutes of Meeting #1/72, as presented, be
adopted.
CARRIED UNANIMOUSLY;
ST~EF PROGRESS REPORT
An up to date Staff Progress Report was presented by Messrs. Sutter
and Garrett.

RESOLVED THAT: The Staff Progress Report be received wi~h appreciat-
ion.
CARRIED UNANIMOUSLY;
FLOOD PLAIN LANDS IN SUBDIVISION
AGREEMENTS
A discussjon took place regarding the means by which the Authority
could be assured of obtaining title to all flood plain lands within
new subdivisions.

THE BOARD RECOMMENDS THAT: A letter be forwarded to all Planning
Boards and Committees of Adjustment of municipalities within the
region, requesting that in all subdivision agreements provision be
made to assure that all flood plain lands be turned over to the
Authority.

CHANNEL IMPROVEMENTS -
EAST BRANCH ETOBICOKE

Seconded by: J.G. Mottershead
THE BOARD RECOMMENDS THAT: The Township of Chinguacousy be
requested to expedite the channel improvement project on the east
branch of the Etobicoke at the C.N.R. crossing in the vicinity of
Stee1es Avenue.
CARRIED UNANIMOUSLY;
ACQUISITION OF
FLOOD PIAIN LANDS

Seconded by: Mrs. N. Horwood
RESOLVED THAT: We confirm previous action; and
THE BOARD RECOMMENDS THAT: Priority be given to the acquisition of
flood plain lands on the Etobicoke and Mimico Creeks, within budget
limits.
CARRIED UNANIMOUSLY;
SEWER OUTFALL SURVEY
Mr. Sutter presented a survey of Sewer Outfalls on the Mimico Creek
in the Borough of Etobicoke, which had been carried out by the
Ministry of the Environment and advised that the Municipality had
been provided with the pertinent information for follow-up.
PROPOSED TOUR
In view of the inclement weather, the tour proposed for this
meeting was not taken.
ADJOURNMENT
On Motion, the Meeting adjourned at 4:00 p.m., May 17.
