Res. #1 Moved by: Seconded by: RESOLVED THAT: The Minutes of and that the report of Meeting INTRODUCTORY REMARKS MRS. J.A. GARDNER CHAIRMAN E.V. Kolb M.W.H. Biggar Meeting *1/77 be adopted as presented, *2/77 be received. CARRIED; Mrs. Gardner welcomed the members and expressed her pleasure at such a full turnout of the Board. She remarked that the Interim Water and Related Land Management Plan, to be considered by the Board, is an important document and that the section on Upper Valley Management is the culmination of a considerable amount of work initiated by the Humber Valley Advisory Board in its Headwaters Seminar. K -2 -2- INTERIM WATER AND RELATED LAND MANAGEMENT PLAN The staff outlined the proposals contained in the Interim Water and Related Land Management Plan. There were a number of comments and questions from the Board con- cerning the Plan, including the observation that the Plan will be more complete when the relationship between upstream development and downstream flooding and erosion is more fully understood, as a result of the hydrologic studies which are currently in progress. It was felt that a clear understanding of this relationship, and land use policies to alleviate the problem, should form an important part of the Plan. Res. #2 Moved by: M.W.H. Biggar Seconded by: Mrs. M.E. Britnell RESOLVED THAT: The Interim Water and Related Land Management Plan be received; and THE BOARD RECOMMENDS THAT: The Interim Water and Related Land Management Plan be adopted, to be elaborated upon when the necessary hydrologic information for further flood control policies is available.
