Tetreault MINUTES The Minutes of Meeting 11/79 were presented. Mr. T. Barber reviewed the progress since the meeting, as it related to the recommendations of the Committee. Res. U Moved by: S. W. Caldwell Seconded by: G. Lowe RESOLVED THAT: The Minutes of Meeting 11/79, as presented, be adopted. REPORTS Farm Operations Mr. Real Tetreault, Farm Manager, Albion Hills Conservation Farm, gave a verbal report on the operations at the farm and noted that the 10ss of cattle had seriously reduced his milk production. He indicated that he had applied for a further 10an to purchase additional milking cows. Mr. Tetreault also discussed a number of farm requirements, such as: a new roof for the farmhouse, reducing the number of windows, improvements to the entrance gate, manure storage facilities, insulation for the farmhouse. It was suggested that work would be carried out in order of priority and as funds become available. Educational Programs Miss Jean Wansbrough, Supervisor, Albion Hills Conservation Field Centre, and Mr. David Harrison, Project Coordinator, Albion Hills Conservation Field Centre, described the use of the farm by students attending the Centre and outlined some of the improvements that were planned for the day-visit programs. PROPOSED LICENCE AGREEMENT M.T.R.C.A. - EARL AND GLADYS DYBALL, Glassco Park, Town of Vaughan The staff reported that the rental rate for the Glassco Farm had been adjusted to $4,000.00 commencing January 1, 1980 and would be $5,000.00 for 1981 and $6,000.00 for 1982 and 1983. The $6,000.00 rental rate coincides with the rental rate for the Albion Hi116 Conservation Farm. ...2... CFSC-2 - 2 - Earl and Gladys Dyball, the current farm lessees, have agreed to a similar agreement and a licence agreement between M.T.R.C.A. and Earl and Gladys Dyball has been negotiated. Res. #2 Moved by: Mrs. F. Gell Seconded by: F. M. Redelmeier RESOLVED THAT: The staff be directed to arrange for the preparation of a suitable Licence Agreement between Earl and Gladys Dyball and the Authority for the use of the Glassco Farm, on a basis similar to that presently in existence at the Albion Hills Conservation Farm; . AND FURTHER THAT: The appropriate Authority officials be authorized and directed to sign the necessary documents to give effect thereto. CARRIED; LAKE ST. GEORGE CONSERVATION FAID1 It was reported that a preliminary estimate of approximately $85,000.00 had been made for improvements to the Lake St. George Farm. Since funding was not available from the Authority, no improvements were carried out in 1980. After considerable discussion, THE COMMITTEE AGREED THAT: The Chairman of the Information and Education Advisory Board and the Administrator of the Information and Education Division will explore possible sources of financing the improvements from the participating Boards of Education, and/or the Ontario Ministry of Agriculture and Food; AND FURTHER THAT: The Committee meet at Lake St. George to review the pIan when the funding for the improvements has been obtained.
