STAFF PROGRESS REPORT
Mr. Higgs reviewed the various projects on the Humber River and
advised that it was anticipated final approval of Project WC -63,
"A Project for the Extension of the Plan for Flood Control and
Water Conservation" is expected daily and this would then permit
the engineering on the Bolton Dam and Reservoir to proceed,
together with the acquisition of certain other lands required for
various reservoir sites on the Humber. He also advised that
progress was being made towards solving the flooding problem in
Caledon East by the removal of silt from the channel of the stream
which bisects the Village.
The Board Members then toured the Claireville Campsite and the
Bolton Dam and Reservoir site.
