The Etobicoke - Mimico Advisory Board met at the Authority Office,
#7 Highway on Wednesday, May -20, 1970, commencing at 2:00 p.m.

MINUTES
The Minutes of Meeting #1/69 were presented.

RESOLVED THAT: The Minutes of Meeting #1/69, as presented, be
adopted.
CARRIED UNANIMOUSLY;
STAFF PROGRESS REPORT
Mr. Sutter presented a Staff Progress Report of the various
activities presently underway of interest to the Board.

RESOLVED THAT: The Staff Progress Report of recent activities
in the watershed be received.
CARRIED UNANIMOUSLY;
ETOBICOKE RIVER IN THE VICINITY
OF STEELES AVENUE AND THE CNR

THE BOARD RECOMMENDS THAT: The Staff contact the Township of
Chinguacousy and the County of Peel with regard to the proposed
channel improvements of the Etobicoke River in the vicinity of
Steeles Avenue and the Canadian National Railway line.

PROJECT P.1 - SNELGROVE RESERVOIR

THE BOARD RECOMMENDS THAT: Consideration be given to locating
the proposed Snelgrove Dam on the alignment of the 15th Sideroad
in the Township of Chinguacousy rather than upstream as is
presently proposed.
CARRIED UNANIMOUSLY;
TOUR OF INSPECTION
The Board members then went on a tour of inspection of projects
of current interest, including Mimico Creek - vicinity of Berry
Road; Mimico Creek - Village of Malton; and the Snelgrove
Reservoir site.
ADJOURNMENT
On Motion, the Meeting adjourned at 4:45 p.m., May 20.
